Milengo is an international company that provides quality localization and translation services. Their old website was created years ago, and was no longer meeting the needs of the company. They needed a wordpress powered web solution, a fresh look as well as a unified presence throughout their social media sites. The added challenge to this web design was to make the web site multilingual, as they have customers and offices all over the world. Milengo wanted to shift the focus of their website from the details of what they do, to the benefit that the end user receives from their localization services. By highlighting the end user’s experience, this also helped bring a more personal, relatable feel to their image.

i have been working at designing and creating the web for over 12 years. after over nine years of working with clients on projects of all sizes, here is a small collection of my work. to filter the entries by project type, please select a category below.
I was approached by KDS Moses Inc., a software company in wisconsin with the task to completely re-design their website. they also wanted a website run on a CMS. The solution was a customized wordpress web site, with an animated slideshow illustrating the key points of their software right on the home page. by putting their software product “front and center” on their website, they have been able to attract more customers.
for someone involved with creating and producing video and new media content, it’s crucial to have a site to display that in a simple, yet interesting way. I met Rachael Joy through the video social networking portion of seesmic.com, and later was approached with the job of creating an online portfolio to display her work. Rachael really enjoyed the dramatic, yet simple layout of tracyapps.org. The simple layout of this site provides a great canvas to display, and not distract from, the videos that Rachael produces and/or hosts. Best wishes on your continued success, Rachael! (also, if any of you need a host or a producer for web, tv or both go check out her stuff… it’s great!)
i realized that i hadn’t posted my old portfolio site design on here.
It may be an “older” design now, but i still love it. tracyapps.org was also the first domain name i purchased, dating back to january 2001. It has gone through over a half dozen designs in its lifetime, and has been orange, yellow, black, orange (again), purple, green and even once looked like photoshop 5.5 running on mac OS 9.3
. Since i don’t delete any files off any of my websites, (i always just bought more websites. hah!) i sometimes spend hours just looking through old files and reminiscing.
All Services Group came to me with a problem: their website that wasn’t working for them. the company needed an easy to update and informational site to reach their clients. It also needed to be user friendly, organized and emphasize the company’s focus on professional, quality service. the solution was a completely custom wordpress powered website. a jQuery animation box was used on the homepage, not only to give the site a personal feel, but also to echo the company’s existing print marketing materials.
after over two years of on3design’s first website design, it was time to freshen up the look and feel for the photography company. al & lyndsey also had a new logo and wanted more control over their website & photo galleries. the solution was a completely redesigned wordpress powered website, using flickr for their photo slideshows. the custom wordpress template includes a different flickr slideshow on each page that the client can edit at any time.
the internet has been a great tool in networking people throughout the world. the web continues to become more and more socially focused. and through social networking, i have met some of my closest friends, all over the world. i’ve enjoyed traveling all over to meet up with some of these amazing people. since we here in wisconsin live through a lot of cold weather, snow and ice. we wisconsinites can easily get “cabin fever” over the winter months, so we have to get creative sometimes. so i thought, “why not just invite all these new friends i met over the internet to my house in the middle of winter for a weekend long party?”
“angrycamp tracy’s basement” was born
being the graphic designer that i am.. i couldn’t just invite people to my house without creating a website for the event first. that’s where this site came from. the colors, logo and design ended up in many forms, including all the attendee’s twitter avatars.
van dorn gourmets was previously brian’s bistro spices, but changed their name, logo and package design. with the new company branding, came a redesign on the e-commerce website. the online store is run completely on shopify.
