Bryan Beller, of the Bryan Beller Band approached me to do a tour poster with a quick turnaround. The photograph of the band and poster text were provided, the rest was up to me. So after listening to both bands on youtube for several hours, this tour poster design emerged. Anytime I do design work for a band, I find it much easier to capture the essence of the band when listening to their creation (sometimes on constant repeat, and usually the louder the better
), while I work on mine. It’s a good thing I live alone.
just some samples
i have been working at designing and creating the web for over 12 years. after over nine years of working with clients on projects of all sizes, here is a small collection of my work. to filter the entries by project type, please select a category below.

in the summer of 2009 my good friend, Kate Tripoli, organized a team for the Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk, and wanted to stand out with matching tshirts. she gave me what she wanted it to say, and this was the outcome.
thanks to Mari Reed for taking this photo of the final product (and my friend Kate)
great work guys, thanks for raising money for a worthy cause.
after the band photography and poster design the next project was the CD artwork. the band chose the “digipack” design for their studio cd, so the challenge was to fit all the song lyrics into the digipack template. it was fun to play around with the text to make it work.
here’s the end result:
using one of the images captured during the band photo shoot i designed a concert poster. the band wanted to be able to use the poster for multiple purposes, so i kept the design simple, with plenty of space to write on the printed posters.
the minnesota based band, fuller still, needed a simple one color tshirt design to sell on their tour. and keeping with the key photo from the photo shoot and cd cover design, this design was born. the client noted that they were a huge hit and sold out very quickly.
one day i declared the day to do something for myself. no work on design projects for other people… but just do some design work for myself… for fun. so i took a picture of myself.. and then drew over it for hours and hours. and this is the outcome. you may recognize this from the header on this page. yep. that’s me. and boy was that fun!
i stole borrowed this idea from my online friend jenn. every year instead of sending out lots of Christmas cards, i create a mix CD of songs that impacted my life throughout the year… kinda like a soundtrack of my life. well, i also went the extra step and created a booklet insert to explain why each song was on the cd. so here’s some examples of that CD booklet.
